Mustang ‘Crazy Horse’
Here we are again, after a bit of a break from Mustang blogging – here is part of the reason why in case you wonder – I’m back at it again. But enough introduction already, look at what I found some days ago…
Autoblog found this one for sale over on Ebay and apparently it’s the only 1967 Ford Mustang ever fitted with a retractable hardtop. Well it’s the first I’ve seen anyway. Not sure if I like it though, but people that have been reading this blog for a while know that I like to stick with the real thing.
[Update - Seems like the retractable hardtop on a classic Mustang isn't unique, I suppose the 1967 Mustang with butterfly doors AND a retractable hardtop still is though ;)]

Yeah, that one’s not for me either. While I can definitely appreciate the work and skill that someone had to create this Mustang, I wouldn’t drive it. Click on the link and you’ll see more pics of it, including one with the hard top up. And it doesn’t look good. The original notchback form is totally lost with the custom top, which really is too bad.
The paint scheme and lambo doors don’t help either. I guess you can call me a purist like you. :)
Agree, the paint scheme doesn’t really help :)
That’s NUTS! The paint looks crazy too. I like the classic look personally, too many people putting ‘lambo’ doors on every Honda Civic and other cars. Keep it pretty close to classic!!

The lambo doors might have worked if the paint scheme wasn’t so garish. This is just a bit too much over the top to my liking, I just don’t know what to say, actually! A sad waste of a potentially awesome car. But every one to his own, I suppose. At least she has a loving home….
Hmmm not sure if I in fact like this!! The doors are what are throwing me a bit, and maybe the paint job too. I think I am a plain and simple person when it come it that of cars.
